INTRODUCTION

 

50 Years old Prakash Chandra Bihari was born in Gonda a small town in east Uttar Padesh in India in the family of his father Late Sri Ram Bihari who was a teacher and  his mother Late Mrs. Moorat Devi. Mr. P.C. Bihari had his early education in UP. In 1963  he was selected in one of the coveted  schools of India Mukerjee Memorial Air Force School Jamnagar in Gujerat. His Bombay born wife Mrs. Archana Bihari who had her training in Quality Management from QCI International USA in Orlando USA and has traveled around the globe is his close compatriot in Quality Movement involving students worldwide. They have a son Sudeep Bihari pursuing Bachelors Course in mechanical engineering and a daughter Sucheta accomplishing her Bachelor’s Program in Commerce. Both of them were the members of world’s first SQCC “Jai Jagat “ and have extensively traveled in India and abroad.

·           Five Years Integrated Program In Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Diesel Engineering from Northern Railway System Technical School Lucknow India (Under Ministry of Railways) Government of India. (1969-1974)

·           Three Years Post Graduate Diploma Program in Business Administration (PGDBA) from Institute Of Productivity & Management (Affiliated to Board of Technical Education Government of Uttar Pradesh, India).

·           Senior Section Engineer (Diesel) in Northern Railway Locomotive Workshop Charbagh Lucknow under Ministry of Railways Govt. Of India since 1996.

 

CONTRIBUTION IN QUALITY MANAGEMENT

 

(A)            INDUSTRIES

 

·        Launched Quality Control Circle in Northern Railway Locomotive Workshop Charbagh Lucknow in 1992

·        Launched Quality Control Circle Quality Circles in North Frontier Railway Guwahati in 1993.

·        Launched Quality Circle in Carriage & Wagon Workshop Jagadhari Haryana.

·        Has distinction of launching the first all women QC Circle in Indian Railways.

·        He is the Coordinator of QC Movement in Charbagh Workshop.

 

(B)            EDUCATION

 

·        Conceptualized, launched and mentored World’s first school students QC Circle Jai Jagat involving the students of City Montessori School Lucknow India the outstanding Award Winner of International Convention On Quality Control Circle ICQCC-94 Hong Kong.

·        Mr. Bihari again created a history when he successfully conceived, launched and mentored world’s first Quality Control Circle on Internet NETsqcc “Don Dewar” which won the coveted Juran Award of Excellence in International Convention On Students QC Circle (ICSQCC-99) held in Lucknow, India.
